Since I just got engaged, surprise! I thought I would share with you the ideal “skin timeline” to show you the more practical side of what needs to be done. Even though I am a skincare consultant, getting my skin checked and having a third party look at my regime is essential to see what is happening. Even we get stuck in our ways and sometimes don’t notice our small habits that can be impacting our skin. I might think I have the best products for my skin (fingers crossed), but it is possible that I am not using them to their full potential or that I am overusing products that I shouldn’t because I love them dearly. Therefore, @megan be ready to assist me with my skin over the coming months.
SO WHAT’S THE IDEAL TIMELINE?
12 up until 3 months before - Skin Consultation with Lion/ne. The key to glowing skin on the day of your wedding is an appropriate daily skincare regime with products suited to your skin's needs. The sooner the better with this, as getting your skin to be where you want it may take more time, there is no overnight fix or miracle product.
1 month before - Follow-Up Consultation. As the skin has different moods, it would be great to see you for a follow-up consultation 1 month before your wedding to see how your skin is doing and recommend the right boosting/glowing products with enough time for your skin to adapt.
30 days before - It would be great to do a chemical peel or another very mild resurfacing treatment so that your skin functions to its fullest potential!
7 days before - At home weekly peel and hydrating mask to give your skin that little pick me up before the big day. Remember to only use products that you have tried before and that you trust!
3 days before - Start to avoid using any stimulating products such as Vitamin C, Retinol & chemical peels to make sure that your skin is super zen for your wedding day.
Big Day - Any mask that will enhance your glowing complexion and prep your skin for make-up would be amazing. Stick to very very gentle and things that you have tried and tested many times. For me, it will be the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask!
