Definition: An endogenously synthesized lipid-soluble antioxidant that is extremely important for cellular energy production. It is a naturally occurring molecule that diminishes with age due to intrinsic (natural ageing) as well as extrinsic factors (sun, stress etc). Why? Because Q10 is found in living cells, but also on the skin surface lipids directly exposed to UV light and air pollution.
