Protective

This encompasses all ingredients that act as a kind of skin shield, protecting it from UV light but also other environmental triggers such as pollution and dirt.

ANTIOXIDANT

When applied topically, antioxidants can help to protect the skin against environmental aggressors such as UV light and pollution. Antioxidants can also reduce inflammation, allowing the skin to repair itself.

SUNSCREEN

The active ingredients in sunscreens work by creating UV filters to block the sun’s harmful rays from penetrating the skin, thus protecting it from photodamage. There are two main types of sunscreen: Mineral sunscreens, also known as physical sunscreens, they coat the skin in protective particles, deflecting UVA and UVB rays away from the skin & chemical sunscreens, these sit in the deeper layers of the skin where they absorb UV rays and convert them into heat that is then released from the skin. They protect from UVB rays only.
