Definition: Amino acids are naturally found in our skin and are divided into essential amino acids and nonessential amino acids. Essential amino acids we get from the food that we eat and/or supplements, where nonessential amino acids are produced by our bodies. Fundamentally, amino acids are the building blocks that make up proteins and are critical to healthy skin.
