When did your skin start being something that you wanted to focus on?
I’ve always had tricky skin but in late 2020 I suddenly developed really bad acne and, no matter what I tried, I just couldn’t seem to get on top of it!
What was your biggest skin frustration?
My spots were red, open, weeping sores and as soon as one disappeared, another would come. My skin was also SO dry - which I now realise was down to all the harsh acne products I was using!
Where did you go first to try to solve this problem?
I spoke with my dermatologist who prescribed a harsh cream. It really dried my skin out but it did seem to calm some of the acne down. From there, I knew I wanted to learn more about my skin so I could treat it in the best possible way and really clear my acne once and for all.
What was your biggest frustration or challenge with the current beauty market?
I only used products with the word “acne” in them - which actually were way too harsh for my skin. I wish I’d spoken with someone before who could explain that sometimes you just need to treat your skin gently!
